Venus Freeze, or more recently Venus Legacy, is the brand name of a revolutionary new device to treat cellulite, tighten the skin, reduce wrinkles and help with noninvasive body contouring. The machine consists of an aesthetic workstation, and the treatment is delivered through a hand-held device similar to a sonography wand. The good news is, with this type of aesthetic treatment, there is no downtime. You can get back to whatever you were doing as soon as you finish a session. Here’s more information about the Venus Freeze machine.
- The modality is FDA-approved – Venus Freeze combines two modern technologies- radiofrequency and magnetic pulse. Both technologies have shown excellent results in noninvasive tightening of skin and mild fat reduction. The radiofrequency heats body tissue that stimulates fibroblasts to produce more collagen. The magnetic field directs the heat to the right location.
- Can be performed on any skin type – Laser technology for skin rejuvenation is not for all skin types. But in Venus Freeze, there are no lights or lasers, and it can be performed on all skin types.
- Results can last for up to one to two years – If you complete the whole course of recommended treatments, the results can last for up to two years. Some patients respond better than others based upon a wide variety of factors such as age, skin quality, amount or size of fat pocket, anatomic location, and number of treatments, but this is true of nearly all radiofrequency modalities for cosmetic indications. Arms, knees, lower abdomen and neck tend to be good sites to treat. Usually lower face and neck needs to be treated about 6 times spaced one to two weeks apart, and for abdomen or tummy, flanks, or knees, 8 to 10 treatments.
If you are still wondering if this treatment is for you, you should know that celebrities like Sofia Vergara also have publicly admitted to using this treatment and have praised its effects. Cara Delevingne says, she undergoes a Venus Freeze face lift facial before the modeling season begins to keep her face in top condition.
