About the Vampire FaceLift
You may have heard of the Vampire Facial. The Vampire Facelift is different but is along the same vein, so to speak. Both of these treatments rely on the power of platelet-rich plasma, PRP. In the Vampire Facial, PRP is applied to the surface of the skin. In the Vampire FaceLift, the provider injects PRP beneath the skin alongside other injectables. The goal is to smooth lines and wrinkles and improve the contours of the face.Â
The Vampire FaceLift takes less than an hour. The provider begins treatment by drawing blood from the arm. The vial of blood is spun in a centrifuge machine. This separates the plasma from red blood cells and other fluid. The plasma contains an abundance of platelets, healing cells that are integral to tissue repair. In addition to soft tissue fillers like Juvederm Voluma or other products, the colorless plasma is injected into areas like the cheeks, around the mouth, under the eyes, and so on.Â
How Long do Results Last?
One of the crucial points of nonsurgical treatments that patients must understand is that they do not last as long as surgical results. We say this only to ensure we set realistic expectations for our patients. When we stimulate collagen proliferation, the body may continue to repair the skin for several months. This means that the skin may seem to age backward for some time. According to surveys, the rejuvenating effects of the Vampire FaceLift can last up to 18 months before the signs of aging begin to recur. With good sun protection and skin care, the signs of aging may be slowed to some extent.Â
