Meet the Office Staff
Making it happen! Those three words say it all! These talented and dedicated women are the glue that make up the office and operating room staff in the office of Dr. Jennifer Walden. Each one plays an integral role in the overall flow and functioning of the practice; no job or duty is too small or too large. We are proud to be a fully female-owned and operated business, and take pride in our work. We make it happen! (Don’t worry guys, we love our male patients too!).
Frankie Young, RN
Frankie is a Registered Nurse who began her nursing career 11 years ago in a burn intensive care unit in San Francisco. During this time she also worked in the private practice of a plastic surgeon, gaining experience in aesthetic and reconstructive surgeries. Frankie grew up in Alabama, then moved to California to attended the University of California at Davis, where she received a BA in International Relations. She worked in high tech PR for a few years before deciding to attend Columbia University School of Nursing in New York where she received her BS in Nursing in 2004.
Frankie is a “most loved” part of Dr Walden’s team by many of our patients due to the compassionate and competent care that she routinely provides, and is most often the operating room circulator and recovery room nurse. Frankie spends her spare time chasing her two young children, traveling, and serving on the board of directors for a local autism charity.
Karen Zizzo, FNP
Karen is a certified nurse practitioner who has practiced for several years in Austin. She obtained her undergraduate nursing degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago where she practiced primarily in the critical care area. She returned to school at the University of Texas at Austin where she received her Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in family practice, neurology and over the last several years has worked in functional medicine and bio-identical hormone clinics. She is also an experienced injector of Botox, filler, and PRP procedures.
Karen is a big believer in the “big picture “ of health, wellness, and longevity. She has attended numerous hours of additional training with Institute of Functional Medicine and Functional Medicine University and anti-aging medicine. She likes to drill down to the root cause of illness/disease and address the root cause of chronic illness instead of only treating with medications to assuage the symptoms. She is most proud of times when through reducing inflammation and making dietary and lifestyle changes, patients are able to eliminate many of their medications and disease states.
In her spare time, Karen and her husband enjoy traveling, wine tasting, and spending time with her three sons.
Beccah Maud, CST, CSFA
Beccah is a certified surgical first assistant with 16 years of operating room experience. She has scrubbed and assisted in nearly every surgical specialty with emphasis in recent years in the field of aesthetic plastic surgery. Beccah is the Perioperative Manager at Walden Cosmetic Surgery Center; she helps to run the operating room and perioperative areas and works with Dr. Walden to ensure quality care through maintenance of accreditation of the facility. You also may see her on the office side during minor procedures and office hours with medical clearance and preoperative testing coordination.
Beccah is a native of Pennsylvania, but has called Texas home for over 20 years. She has traveled to Guatemala on medical mission trips and enjoys helping people whom otherwise may not receive quality care. Volunteering for Austin Pets Alive is also something Beccah is passionate about.
Carli Baker, FNP-C
Carli is a Nurse Practitioner who began her nursing career six years ago. She studied at The University if Texas at Austin for her undergraduate degree in Nutritional Sciences. She decided to further her education when she attended nursing school at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She worked as a Registered Nurse in the Trauma/Surgical ICU at Ben Taub Hospital, a Level I trauma center in the Houston Medical Center. She then pursued her masters degree at UTMB as well, becoming a certified Family Nurse Practitioner two years ago. She worked in the urgent care setting before pursuing plastic surgery.
Carli loves interacting with patients and families, making them feel comfortable and providing excellent patient care. In her free time, Carli enjoys hiking with her husband and golden retriever Finley, as well as traveling, trying new restaurants and listening live music here is Austin.
Kimberly Chase has over 18 years experience in the medical administrative field. She resides in Kyle, Texas and enjoys the country life Kyle, Tx gives. Kim is the front office coordinator at Dr. Walden’s office and will assist you with scheduling and any questions that may arise.
Kim is passionate about her career at Jennifer Walden Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Center and loves helping people every single day. In Kim’s spare time, she enjoys bike riding, and any other outdoor activities.
Terra Yeske, LME
Terra Yeske of 512 Skincare is a fabulous aesthetician who brings a unique approach to skin health to Dr. Walden’s cosmetic surgery center including research, client education, and results. Terra states, “Skin care is only as good as the education behind it. I strive to provide a realistic approach to skin health and wellness. The power of professional treatments and products should not be overlooked. Treating yourself to regular facial treatments is essential to maintaining a regular pattern of exfoliation and healthy skin.” Terra has been involved in the health, wellness and beauty industry for 13 years. As the founder of 512Skincare, she specializes in corrective skin rejuvenation with a strong focus on internal and external factors that affect skin health. Each treatment is meticulously tailored to each client based on their goals, lifestyle and the results they wish to attain. You can now combine services that include in-office facial treatments, injectables, laser and cosmetic surgery; Terra and the team at Dr. Walden’s office will guide you on the path to your most beautiful self and transform your skin into a more vibrant, youthful state.
Portia Saucedo CLT, LMA – Medical Aesthetician
Portia attended Austin’s Avenue Five Institute for her aesthetics training, and has been an esthetician for 4 years.
After working in the industry for a year Portia wanted to further her professional skill set to more corrective, results driven skin care treatments. She returned to school and obtained a laser technician license, as well as certifications in Chemical Peels, IPL-Photofacial and Microneedling.
Portia was drawn to the industry by a desire to help clients meet their skin care and aesthetic goals. Portia enjoys educating clients and has a talent for making people feel comfortable and relaxed, while making sure they get the best results.
Born and raised in Austin, Portia enjoys outdoor activities as well as the music scene Austin has to offer and spending time with her family and her Shar Pei Rachel.
Brooke Milligan, LME, CLT
Brooke has been an the active member of the industry since 2012 and has been with Dr.Walden’s office since 2015. She obtained her Aesthetics training and licensure from Aveda Beauty School.
Brooke was raised in the Austin area and loved the eccentricity that it offers. A large contributing factor as to why Brooke pursed this career path is because she herself has suffered from bad skin as a teenager and young adult. She has the ability to empathize with her clients and understands the desire for quick and long lasting results.
As a member of the aesthetics team at Dr.Walden’s office, Brooke strives not only to treat but also educate our Medspa patients before, during and after treatments so that the patient is well informed and results are maximized. Dedicated to her craft, Brooke is an advocate of continuing education and seizes any opportunity to learn about new products and services to better serve and educate our patients. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time quality time with her family and friends.
Brooke has been awarded certifications by Sciton, PiQo4 Tattoo Removal, PiQo4 for Melasma, Sculpsure, Dermaplaning, ThermiSmooth Body and Thermismooth Face, SkinPen Microneedling, Hydrafacial MD, and PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma.)
Brooke is also a member of our Vaginal Health Team and performs all five modalities of Vaginal Rejuvenation: Viveve, DiVa, ThermiVa, Femtouch, Votiva & EmSella
Amber Higgins, Front Desk Coordinator Far West Location
Amber has been in an administration role for over ten years. She enjoys being in the role of front desk administrator because it gives her the opportunity to make someone’s day a bit better. “I believe being the first and last point of contact gives me the opportunity to make sure our patients have the very best experience from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. I believe the smallest gesture can make the biggest difference.”
Amber was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio until moving to Texas in 2013. Amber and her husband traveled around Texas until setting their roots here in Austin in 2018. She is a loving mother of two daughters, and in her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family outdoors fishing, camping, or hiking. A fun fact about Amber is she is one of thirteen children.
Courtney Grant-Scandariato, Medspa Manager; Senior CLT, LMA.
Courtney was born and raised in Austin, Texas and has 20 years of laser and medical aesthetic experience. Previously working at our Westlake location, Courtney rejoins the Walden team as Medspa Manager and Advanced Laser Specialist at The Medspa Northwest Hills. Throughout the years she has quickly gained a reputation for having extensive knowledge in all things laser and providing compassionate, results driven care to patients. Outside of work she enjoys music, practicing martial arts and spending time with her husband and two French Bulldogs.
Erin has been a licensed esthetician and certified laser tech for the past four years. She attended Avenue Five Institute for esthetics, and National Laser Institute in Dallas for her laser and microneedling certification. With a background in diagnostic ultrasound, she always knew she wanted to be on the medical side of aesthetics.
She has a passion for learning new techniques and treatments! Erin is meticulous with every treatment she gives, and loves to help patients reach their skin care goals through educating them on treatments in the office and at home care. She is very excited to be a part of the medspa team and growing her skills in the field.
Erin is a proud native Austinite and loves everything the city has to offer. Especially if her cocker spaniel, Winston, can tag along! When not in the office, she enjoys being on the water, live music, eating out, hiking, and traveling with friends and family.
Elizabeth Brooks, BA, BSN, CPLC, Certified Nurse Injector
Licensed Medical Aesthetician, Cosmetic Injection Specialist, Senior Laser Technician, Licensed Phlebotomist.
Elizabeth is a Registered Nurse who began her second career in nursing 8 years ago. Her extensive experience has been in hormone therapy, wellness and medical aesthetics. After earning her BA from The University of North Texas and working in the corporate world for several years, she decided to follow her heart and pursue her interests in making people feel better about themselves both internally and externally. She obtained her BSN from The University of Texas at Arlington and began her path towards helping her clients feel and look their best. She enjoys continually learning and gaining new skills and using that knowledge to help her patients for the better.
In her free time, she enjoys being with her family and friends and especially her 17-year-old dogs Mika, a Shiba Inu and Kuma, a small Pomeranian. Since moving to Austin in 2015, Elizabeth and her husband enjoy hiking, wine tastings and exploring all of what Austin and the surrounding areas have to offer. She can’t say NO to dance classes and wishes she had more time to do so.
Allison Janos, RN, BSN
Allison is a Registered Nurse on Dr. Walden’s surgical team. She works in the operating room and recovery room, and enjoys being with patients through every step of their surgery day. Allison started her nursing career at St David’s Medical Center, and has experience in Telemetry, Electrophysiology, Critical Care, and the Cardiac Cath Lab. It was during her time in critical care that she first developed a love for plastic surgery, as she cared for breast cancer patients who were recovering from complex breast reconstruction.
Allison is originally from Annapolis, MD, and loves living in Austin, TX. When not at work, she spends time with her nieces, and enjoys walks around town lake with her Boston Terrier, Emma.
Megan Zavala, CS
Megan is a certified surgical tech who has been working in the medical field for 17 years. She began her surgical career in 2008. In 2016 she found her passion for plastic surgery while working in cosmetic dermatology. She loves working in and around the operating room daily. Megan is native to the Austin area. She spends her free time with her children and family, and enjoys traveling.
Barbara Brothers – Practice Manager
Barb joined Walden Cosmetic Surgery as the Practice Manager in October of 2019. She brings over 12 years of experience in plastic surgery management to her position. Her passion for the industry and love of the transformative nature of cosmetic surgery is felt throughout the practice. She feels fortunate to work with such an amazing team that is so dedicated to excellence. In her free time, she and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors with their pups, Mana and Nalu.
