How Does EraV Work?
EraV uses 980 nm and 1470 nm diode laser wavelengths to deliver controlled energy to targeted tissue.
The two wavelengths work at different tissue depths, allowing the treatment to address both more superficial tissue and deeper collagen-rich connective tissue. This controlled thermal energy is designed to stimulate new collagen formation and tissue remodeling.
EraV can be used in two ways depending on the patient’s needs:
Intravaginal Rejuvenation
A specialized handpiece delivers laser energy circumferentially to the vaginal tissue, allowing for consistent treatment throughout the area.
This approach is designed to support vaginal tissue health, elasticity, lubrication, structural support, and overall intimate wellness.
External Vulvar and Labial Rejuvenation
For patients experiencing laxity, thinning, or atrophy of the external tissues, Dr. Walden can also use the Junera laser fiber beneath the tissue of the labia majora.
This allows controlled energy to be delivered directly beneath the skin to encourage collagen remodeling and improve tissue support.
What Is an EraV Treatment Like?
EraV is performed in the office and is designed to be a relatively quick, well-tolerated treatment with minimal downtime.
Dr. Walden will customize treatment according to your anatomy, symptoms, and goals. When appropriate, EraV is often recommended as a series of three treatments spaced approximately 4–6 weeks apart.
Most patients are able to return to their usual routine quickly following treatment, although specific post-treatment instructions will depend on the areas treated.
EraV and the O-Shot
For some patients, Dr. Walden may recommend combining EraV with the O-Shot, a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment used as part of a comprehensive approach to intimate wellness.
