Making it happen! Those three words say it all. These talented and dedicated women are the glue that make up the office and operating room staff in the office of Dr. Jennifer Walden. Each one plays an integral role in the overall flow and functioning of the practice; no job or duty is too small or too large. We are proud to be a fully female-owned and operated business, and take pride in our work. We make it happen. (Don't worry guys, we love our male patients too!).
Sarah was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003. While working as an Emergency Department nurse, Sarah attended graduate school at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas where she obtained a Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration. She worked with Dr. Walden at her Manhattan office for two and a half years, prior to relocating back to Texas. Sarah is excited to be working with Dr. Walden again in Austin as her Practice Manager, directing the operations of Dr. Walden's practice as well as performing a variety of cosmetic procedures such as injectables and laser. In her free time, Sarah enjoys the outdoors, teaching, running, cycling, swimming and going to the lake.
Kristin Gunn is a medical aesthetician, skin care guru, and advanced level cosmetic injector. She specializes in subtle, natural-looking cosmetic filler injections, superior anti-aging tips and tricks, and facial rejuvenation. Kristin developed a keen interest in cosmetic surgery and dermatology when training to be a surgical technologist alongside plastic surgeons in the operating room. Over the years, she has worked in the busiest and most exclusive medspas and medical facilities throughout Central Texas.
Kristin is authentically Austin, and is also the owner of Skin and Tonic Studio and skincare brand. Fascinated by facial contouring, she has completed advanced training in Neurotoxins and Cosmetic Fillers, and has perfected her own technique over the years. Kristin is a top-level provider of non-surgical aesthetic facial rejuvenation including the use of neurotoxins (Botox and Dysport) as well as Juvederm, Radiesse, Voluma, Restylane and Perlane. She has also been trained in Restylane Silk, and Belotero for fine lines. Experience counts! Kristin has accumulated many happy clients over the years. The goal for all is beautiful, healthy and positively glowing skin.
Kristin also has years of experience coordinating services and scheduling surgical and nonsurgical patients within large aesthetic practices. Given her diverse yet relevant background, she serves as Dr. Walden's practice coordinator and helps direct the operations on a day-to-day basis. Previous experience at reputable Austin-based and operated facilities like Seton Healthcare as a surgery scheduler and Ann Webb Skin Clinic have served her well on her professional journey that has led her to this position with our dynamic and talented staff!
Shari Wilkins, RN
Originally from Nebraska, Shari is a seasoned professional in the field of plastic surgery office and operating room nursing. She attended Hastings College and graduated from Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1981. Her career began in the ICU/CCU. After moving to Frisco, Texas in 1984, she worked in OR and recovery room for many years. Moving to California in 1998 presented her with the opportunity to work in both the aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgical specialties. She returned to Texas in 2004 and has continued her career in that specialty. She has joined Dr. Walden's practice as her lead clinical nurse, overseeing continuity of patient care on both the office and operating room sides. Free time is enjoyed outdoors, doing landscape and gardening projects with her husband Steve, cooking, exploring the Texas Hill Country, and of course spending time with family and friends.
Natalie Ledbetter CRNA, MSN, MSNA
Natalie graduated with highest honors with a BSN from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and is Dr. Walden's CRNA for her office-based surgery. She attended the anesthesia program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, graduating number two in her class. She has been providing anesthesia for over 18 years in a variety of settings. She is dedicated to patient safety, excellence in anesthesia, and providing compassionate, personalized care to each person she serves. Dr. Walden and Natalie are both very detail-oriented and committed to patient safety, and have partnered together to provide you with a positive surgical experience. As a member in good standing of the AANA (American Association of Nurse Anesthetists) and certified by the NGCRNA (National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists) she obtains forty Continuing Medical Education credits (CME's) every two years. This ensures she stays current in the latest research and trends in anesthesia. She is obtaining her degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine as a way to offer even more to her patients in the area of comfort, nausea elimination, and more. Natalie and her husband Billy have three children and live in Cedar Park, Texas.
Hollis Schade was born and raised in Austin, Texas. A native to the area, she went to Westlake High School and then earned a Sociology degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Hollis joined Dr. Walden's office in August 2013 and brings with her years of experience working in medical offices including the front desk of an Austin dental practice. She is a valuable team member as the front desk coordinator. When Hollis is not working she enjoys going to see live music, practicing yoga, and spending time with friends engaging in all that Austin has to offer.
Jocelyne Kizziar is a Certified Surgical Technologist with twelve years of operating room experience, and is Dr. Walden's surgical technician and main assistant in her OR. She is from the Panhandle of Texas, but has lived happily in Austin for 8 years. Jocelyne has had the pleasure of working all over the country as a contract surgical technologist and for a large, reputable cardiothoracic group in Austin before working in Dr. Walden's facility. Jocelyn provides vital contributions to the day-to-day flow and supply ordering of the cosmetic surgery center, and helps Dr. Walden in the OR while scrubbed in to cases as a first assistant. She has spent time working and playing in New Mexico, Washington State, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. She is also involved with a non-profit organization called CardioStart. With this organization, Jocelyne has traveled to Vietnam and Africa to perform free surgery for adult and pediatric patients.
Beccah is a certified surgical first assistant with 16 years of operating room experience. She has scrubbed and assisted in nearly every surgical specialty with emphasis in recent years in the field of aesthetic plastic surgery. Beccah helps to run the operating room and works with Dr. Walden to ensure quality care through maintenance of accreditation of the facility; you also may see her on the office side during minor procedures and office hours. Beccah is a native of Pennsylvania, but has called Texas home for over 20 years. She has traveled to Guatemala on medical mission trips and enjoys helping people whom otherwise may not receive quality care. Volunteering for Austin Pets Alive is also something Beccah is passionate about.
Jenny, a fully licensed and skilled aesthetician and laser technician, brings 17 years of hands-on laser and aesthetic skincare experience to Dr. Walden's plastic surgery practice. Jenny is from Montgomery, Alabama, and has relocated to Austin to join Dr. Walden's thriving practice as lead laser provider. In the past, Jenny has enjoyed employment in Tennessee in some of the most highly-respected plastic surgery offices in those areas. Throughout her nearly two decades of experience, Jenny has performed various procedures on A-list Hollywood celebrities as well as hit-making country music artists. She strives to achieve optimum results for our patients with little or no downtime and maximum comfort and safety.
One of Jenny’s particular areas of expertise is to make each patient feel like an individual with education and custom-designing a treatment regimen that would be most advantageous to help enhance and restore the patient's desired beauty and youth. This can range from anti-aging skin care, laser eye lifts, maximum treatment of unwanted wrinkles, and treatment of scars, acne, skin laxity, rosacea, sun damage, pigmentation, spots, cellulite, fat, stretch marks and hair removal with laser and light-based therapies. When Jenny isn't busy working, she dedicates her time to being the mother of her three children, Kristian, Charlie and Garland.
Jenny has the distinction of having educated and trained aestheticians, nurses, and doctors all over the country on how to use specific lasers including: Sciton, Fraxel, Exilis, Cynosure, and Alma. She also has conducted clinical research for many laser centers and manufacturers, and has been involved in their research and development of new technology. She is a certified technician for Sciton, Exilis, Fraxel, Cynosure, Alma and Reliant Technology. She also has hands-on knowledge in multiple cosmetic treatments including microdermabrasion, vibraderm, chemical peels, galvanic and high frequency machines, PRP treatments, collagen pin (microneedling), and radiofrequency devices.
Erika Addis is a trained bilingual medical assistant who is a fully licensed medical aesthetician and laser technician, bringing to Dr. Walden’s practice the ability to perform a wide range of medical aesthetic treatments. Erika possesses the ultimate "can do" personality, and also assists Dr. Walden and staff on both the operating room and office sides. Her range of skills include: Botox, laser resurfacing, BBL/IPL and radiofrequency treatments, laser hair removal, and facial contouring consultations. Erika’s passion for skin care started at a young age leading to her current career with a strong fund of knowledge of skin care products for all skin types and ethnicities; she also is a professional-level makeup artist. Although a native to West Texas, Erika moved to Austin from El Paso over a decade ago and considers herself an Austinite at heart. Erika spends her free time practicing yoga, visiting local art galleries and museums, and dancing.
Karen Kelliher, RN
Karen obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Niagara University, in Niagara Falls, New York. Early in her career she specialized in cosmetic plastic surgery and has worked the last 20 years in various Ambulatory Surgery Centers throughout the nation. She recently joined Dr. Walden’s practice as a patient care coordinator. She also supports Dr. Walden on surgery days as a circulating and recovery room nurse. Karen moved here 3 years ago and is enjoying the wide variety of activities Austin has to offer. She has three daughters that keep her busy and enjoys yoga, cross fit and meditation.
Terra Yeske of 512Skincare is a fabulous aesthetician who brings a unique approach to skin health to Dr. Walden’s cosmetic surgery center including research, client education, and results. Terra states, “Skin care is only as good as the education behind it. I strive to provide a realistic approach to skin health and wellness. The power of professional treatments and products should not be overlooked. Treating yourself to regular facial treatments is essential to maintaining a regular pattern of exfoliation and healthy skin.” Terra has been involved in the health, wellness and beauty industry for 13 years. As the founder of 512Skincare, she specializes in corrective skin rejuvenation with a strong focus on internal and external factors that affect skin health. Each treatment is meticulously tailored to each client based on their goals, lifestyle and the results they wish to attain. Erin A. Spousta
Erin is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree from San Diego State University and possesses over 15 years of clinical experience at prestigious hospitals and physician’s offices throughout the country. Erin began her career at Scripps Clinic and Research Hospital in California, assisting with critical cardiology research, before progressing to Interventional Cardiology and Clinical Research for St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital/Texas Heart Institute, University of Denver Health Sciences Center, Denver Veterans Affairs Hospital, and the Heart Hospital of Austin. After many years of sun-worshiping on the beautiful beaches of California, Erin became interested in the rapidly advancing field of aesthetics while on her own quest to repair sun damage. Today, Erin is an expert in neuromodulator and dermal filler injections, chemical peels, laser treatments, and other non-surgical aesthetic techniques. She applies her skills in Dr. Walden’s Austin cosmetic practice by appointment only for the specific procedures she performs, and more frequently injects and performs aesthetic procedures at Bella Medical Spa in Marble Falls, Texas where Dr. Walden's satellite Hill Country office is located. Erin’s passion is educating patients in healthy skin care practices and procedures while developing personalized, affordable treatment plans to assist clients in achieving their desired beauty goals.
Amber is Dr. Walden’s social media and blogging assistant. She writes weekly about Dr. Walden’s news, events, and plastic surgery topics. A California native, Amber moved to Austin when she was 10 years old. At 16 she tested out of Austin area Lake Travis High School to attend college early at Lamar University. In the summer of 2013, she interned with Dr. Walden at her Austin-based office. Amber was a key member in Dr. Walden’s #LiveOR team during that Summer, which succeeded in maintaining a live Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Vine feed of a six-hour procedure. The multi-platform coverage of the surgery online was a groundbreaking moment in the plastic surgery industry and was featured on Fox 7 News. As a National Merit and National Achievement Scholar, Amber looks forward to graduating two years early from college. She plans to continue her education by going to medical school and have Dr. Walden continue on as her mentor. For fun, Amber enjoys going to the lake with her family and listening to Austin's live music.
Priscila Cevallos is a pre-medical student currently completing a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and minor in Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. During undergrad, she conducted extensive research in the field of neuropharmacology, presenting her work at various conferences around Texas. In 2012 and in 2013, she was awarded an Undergraduate Research Fellowship to further pursue her own research projects. From 2013-2014, Priscila served as President of UT’s American Medical Student Association Chapter (AMSA), while also representing pre medical students nationwide on the Editorial Advisory Board of AMSA’s The New Physician. Priscila also blogs about her pre-medical experiences for Kaplan MCAT Test Prep. She volunteers for Dr. Walden as a research fellow and website developer. Originally from Germany and Brazil, Priscila loves to travel, paint, and practice calligraphy in her spare time.
Amy is a native Austinite and received her bachelor degree in Journalism and Marketing from Baylor University. Her agency work includes firms such as Hill and Knowlton in New York City; Halcyon Associates in Dallas; and Sicola Martin in Austin. Amy has also served as an event planner and membership liaison for local PBS station, KLRU-TV and its Austin City Limits broadcast. Amy’s background in public relations, writing and marketing provides Dr. Walden with assistance in community and media relations as well as event planning on a consulting basis. Amy is a first grade teacher at Casner Christian Academy, and is married to her high school sweetheart with three sons who attend Westlake and Hyde Park. In addition to volunteering at church and her boys’ schools, as a family, she and the guys enjoy hiking, fishing, water-skiing, wake surfing, lacrosse and golf.
Although born in Mississippi, Olivia was raised in Houston, Texas and considers herself a Texan. She holds a Bachelors degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Alabama and two Masters degrees in Voice and Opera Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA. Olivia graduated New England Conservatory of Music with one of five Presidential Distinction in Performance awards. She has performed with countless opera and symphonic companies all over the country. We are proud to announce that Olivia has recently won Season 11 of NBC's The Biggest Loser after losing 129 pounds! Olivia helped our patients in Manhattan on their own journey towards health with tips on diet and exercise both pre- and post-operatively, and she remains our honorary "emeritus" staff member!
