What Is Votiva?

What Is Fractora V?
FractoraV uses deep-heating technology to improve skin tone problems through resurfacing. This tool allows for full depth heating which improves elastin and collagen. This improvement positively impacts not only a woman’s feminine health but her overall quality of life.
Votiva Procedures
Forma V Vs. Fractora V
Forma V
The small handpiece is placed inside the vagina to deliver sub-dermal heating to the interior tissues. The handpiece heats the vaginal mucosa and initiates new collagen and elastin production. The treatment will tighten and rejuvenates the vaginal walls. The tip of the device is then used to deliver the same heating to the outer genitalia. This tightens these tissues.
Fractora V
The Fractora V handpiece is placed against the outer vaginal tissues and its series of fine pins deliver the radiofrequency energy – like fractional facial skin resurfacing treatments. The RF energy stimulates the vaginal tissue, immediately remodeling the existing collagen and initiating new production, as well. This tightens the vaginal tissues.

Will I Need Multiple Votiva Treatments?
After the treatment you should experience a difference in sensation, tightness, and appearance for up to one year. Patients usually need yearly treatments can maintain your results.
Do Vaginal Atrophy Treatments Hurt?
Votiva uses a laser that emits heat so there is virtually no pain. You may feel a mild heating sensation and some users mention mild discomfort as the device is inserted for the first time. There is no downtime with this procedure.
What Are the Risks of Votiva Treatment?
Votiva treatments are non-invasive and have little risk. Patients need to simply abstain from intercourse for three days after their treatments, and to avoid pools, hot tubs, and hot baths for there days as well.
Before your procedure
- Please inform us if you have a history of Herpes of the genital area, frequent urinary tract infections, vaginal surgery, vaginal prolapse, a recent abnormal pap smear, or have a cardiac device of any kind.
- It is recommended to have a normal physical and pap smear within the last three years.
- This procedure is not performed on pregnant women, so advise your provider if you are.
- Shave the external treatment area at least one day before the procedure
- AVOID waxing or laser hair removal 5-7 days before to avoid further irritation.
- Having your VTone treatment done while menstruating is okay, but you may want to reschedule if you are experiencing heavy flow.
Day of your procedure
- You should empty your bladder immediately before and after your treatment.
- A single use device is inserted into the vagina to treat internal areas.
What to Expect
- If treated externally, the skin may be slightly pink to red, swollen, and warm to the touch for approximately one hour post-procedure.
- Possibility of mild cramping, which should resolve in 24 hours.
- Light spotting may occur immediately post-procedure and this is normal.
After Your Procedure
- AVOID sexual intercourse for 2 days following your treatment.
- In case of vaginal discharge, a panty liner may be worn for the first day after treatment.

- If you experience bleeding that lasts longer than 24 hours.
- If you are unable to control pain with over-the-counter medications.
- If you have cramping that lasts longer than 24 hours.
- If you have a fever of 101 degrees or higher.
Follow-up
- 4- 6 weeks after each treatment
