What is Labiaplasty?
The surgical labiaplasty procedure carefully removes redundant tissue from the labia minora or the inner lips at the vaginal opening. The labia minora are bits of very soft, delicate tissue. They are intended to be covered by the skin of the labia majora, but sometimes fall outside of the outer lips. There are several reasons this may happen, from genetics to hormones to childbirth.
