What is FaceTite?
FaceTite is a nonsurgical, minimally-invasive technique that involves the use of radiofrequency, but not in the traditional manner. Most radiofrequency devices direct energy toward the skin from the outside. FaceTite affects the skin both from the outside and from within. This is why a single treatment can achieve dramatic results.
Patients appreciate the fact that FaceTite is minimally invasive and, as such, do not require them to go under anesthesia. To make the procedure comfortable, we desensitize superficial tissue with a few injections of numbing anesthetic. Injections are more powerful than topical numbing, which is necessary due to the depth of energy penetration.
To provoke intense collagen contraction and proliferation, FaceTite is designed to insert radiofrequency just beneath the skin as well as on the epidermis. This is achieved with two probes. The passage of energy between the inner and outer probe has the maximum effect on tissue that has become lax and saggy. After treatment, the skin may be red and somewhat inflamed. Some patients experience mild bruising and swelling. These side effects subside within a week to 10 days.
Is FaceTite Right for You?
FaceTite treatments can be performed on areas of the face including the:
- Jawline/jowls
- Brow
- Forehead
- Cheeks
- Nasolabial folds
Treatment can also improve the smoothness and tightness of skin on the neck and chest.
Many patients achieve satisfactory improvement with just one FaceTite treatment. However, tightness and firmness can improve further with subsequent sessions as needed or with complementary treatments like Botox or laser skin resurfacing. The results of this convenient radiofrequency treatment can last up to five years.
