Maleficent cheekbones anyone?
Dr. Walden recently sat down with Todd Boatwright from TWC News to talk about a recent plastic surgery craze. Dr. Walden says she has had patients come in and say “I want those Angelina Jolie cheekbones”. Cheekbones like Angelina’s are honed in Hollywood, and patient Heather came to Dr. Walden for them.
“We were joking that it would be great to have cheekbones like that, then she said that was actually something I could do” Heather said. A recently approved filler by the FDA, Juvederm Voluma XC, made this possible. The filler is a kind of liquid face lift, creating volume in the cheekbones that is often lost due to aging.
“We can offer relatively quick, simple solutions to restore the youthful cheekbone and give it some highlighting,” Walden said. Facial fillers like Juvaderm and Voluma can last up to two years and cost between $1,000 and $2,000.
