SculpSure Laser Fat Reduction
- Posted on: Oct 30 2017
Fat is stubborn. No matter how much you work out, fat pockets in certain areas are incredibly difficult to target, much less have any impact on. You can remove pockets like this with liposuction, but that’s a surgical procedure and some people don’t want to do that or have the downtime.
But Dr. Walden is now one of the first to offer SculpSure in Austin, Texas. SculpSure is a new option for lipolysis, removing unwanted fat pockets. SculpSure is the first FDA-approved laser treatment for non-invasive removal of fat on the abdomen, flanks, back, and thighs.
What is SculpSure?
SculpSure can target multiple areas of the body in a single 25-minute procedure. Four flat non-suction applicators and contouring frames can be placed/adjusted to suit specific patient needs. SculpSure uses 1060nm wavelength laser energy that selectively targets adipose (fat) cells beneath the dermis layer of the skin. The system’s proprietary modulation delivers the energy into the fat layer, where it creates temperatures between 42 and 47 degrees Celsius within just four minutes. This controlled delivery of the heat energy destroys, on average, 24 percent of subcutaneous fat cells in the treatment area in just 25 minutes. Over time, the body’s lymphatic system eliminates those cells. Patients see results beginning in as little as six weeks, and showing optimal results in around three months.
What are the benefits of SculpSure?
- Can treat multiple areas simultaneously
- Treats multiple body shapes and sizes
- Can be used on all skin types
- Removes 24% of fat in the treatment areas
- Is noninvasive
- Requires no downtime
How many treatments Will I NEEd?
Most patients see results with just a single treatment, but not all results are the same so some people may need a series of two to three to achieve the most out of it. Patients opt to have treatments on different areas after they see their results from their first session. You can have a specific area treated again, but we recommend waiting at least six weeks between treatments.
