We are pleased to announce that Dr. Jennifer Walden is the first announced candidate in Austin MD Magazine’s Second Annual Date A Doc Charity Auction! Held at the Bob Bullock Museum on September 27th, the Date A Doc Charity Auction raises money for many of Austin’s charities while auctioning off the most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes in the area.
Dr. Walden’s chosen charity organization in the Junior League of Austin’s Food in Tummies program. Food in Tummies, or FIT, for short provides meals on the weekends to National School Lunch Program qualifying students. Often, many students who qualify for subsidized school lunch can not afford meals in the evening or on weekends. To remedy this problem, the FIT program provides backpacks that students take home on weekends, filled with food and nutrition tips, to be returned the next Monday during school. In the 2013-2014 season, FIT has provided 1500 backpacks every week for 32 weeks to students in Baty and Hillcrest Elementary. That’s about 48000 backpacks! FIT has made a tremendous impact in the lives of Austin’s economically disabled children and will continue to do in the years to come.
As if the chance to spend a night out with one of the top plastic surgeons in the United States wasn’t enough, Dr. Walden is also offering an incredible MedSpa beauty package at the Date A Doc Auction. The details will be released soon but rest assured it is not to be missed.
Dr. Walden is passionate the Food in Tummies program and what they are doing for the city of Austin’s youth. Please come and support the Food in Tummies program, and many other great charities, at the Date A Doc Charity Auction. Tickets can be purchased at https://austinmdmagazine.com/.
